Trail Development

One of the best ways to explore the great natural wonders of our region is by trail. Over the past 20 years, an extensive network of converted rail corridors and other pathways has been developed to provide important links to natural areas, valley lands, the Niagara Escarpment, Lake Ontario, and neighbouring municipalities.  They also offer excellent opportunities for recreation and nature appreciation, all of which underpin our efforts to secure a healthy, sustainable community for future generations.

The Hamilton Conservation Foundation actively supports the movement to develop and maintain trails and corridors through the region's beautiful natural areas.   For over 30 years, we have spearheaded fundraising efforts to support these and other projects, which help preserve and rehabilitate important conservation lands, recreational areas and heritage sites.

The Foundation supports ongoing development and maintenance of HCA owned or managed trails.
